What sort of services can I request?
Parents can request for either full-time, part-time or ad-hoc nanny services. For full-time service, request are either daycare, evening or overnight services depending on your care requirements. Typical cycle is Monday to Friday, the assigned nanny is arranged to babysit at your residence. There is a min. 1 month or 20 working days for engagement. For part-time arrangement. a minimum 4 hours block each day for at least 3 times a week.
Do I get to choose the nanny? How do you match to our care requirements?
NannyPro’s personalised matching services match of client’s care requirements to our nannies schedule and capabilities. We take time to understand your needs and assign a qualified nanny. Clients can review the profile of the assigned nanny before making a decision to proceed with the engagement. As most of our nannies are on regular engagement, at times may take a longer time for processing, do extend a little patience with our team to assign the right caregiver to your family.
How much is NannyPro’s engagement fee and nanny's fee?
For Fees, it varies accordingly to your care requirements, a quote will be offered. If the fee quote is acceptable, we will then proceed to assign a suitable nanny. To give some references :
(A) Ad-Hoc Care : it is usually charged based on hourly rate, and no engagement fee is required. However, if the request is made on an urgent basis (less than 48 hours), there is an urgent fee of 20% applicable for the 1st day.
(B) Full-time & Part-Time Regular Care : A one-time engagement fee of 20% based on the nanny’s regular fee. It is applicable for the 1st month. The engagement fee will varies according to the parent’s requirements and the type of nanny service required. Do refer to the rates
How do we make a request for your service?
Do submit a care request form and we will reply to your request within 1 to 3 working days. For urgent requests less than 48 hours, do kindly reach out to us via WhatsApp
When is the best time for me to make a request?
You can send us your request not more than 4 weeks before your expected start date of service. For ad-hoc babysitting service, requests should reach us at least two working days in advance to avoid urgent fee charge.
How long does it take to find a suitable nanny for us?
That depends on your location and requirements. We will update you on the status of your request within 1 to 2 working days upon receiving your email.
Is there a minimum / contract period that we have to commit to engage a nanny?
A. Yes, For regular full-time/part-time nanny engagement, a commitment of 1 month/ 20 weekdays is required.
B. For ad-hoc, a commitment of at least 1 session with a minimum of 4 hours.
What are the standard hours for regular weekdays care assignment?
For full-time regular engagement, the typical standard working hours start at the earliest between 8am to 6pm. A daily hour is 9 hours to a max is 10 hours, as per MOM regulation. If you require a nanny to work beyond 6pm, the fee will be adjusted to cover for evening and nanny is agreeable extend her working hours and get compensated accordingly.
For part-time regular engagement, you may request the nanny to start at your preferred start time to end time.
Do we need to sign a service agreement with NannyPro?
Yes, For regular full-time/part-time nanny engagement, a commitment of 1 month/ 20 weekdays is required. NannyPro will extend a service engagement upon a successful trial. The service agreement outlines the terms and conditions which include the nanny’s fee, responsibilities and entitlements.
The assigned nanny to your household is considered an engaged professional, and an employee of NannyPro. NannyPro will ensure the nanny assigned is a consistent a caregiver. NannyPro will administer her salary, cpf contribution and welfare benefits.
What are the duties of the daycare nanny / babysitter?
The typical nanny duties are infant / child related. Below are some examples.
- Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the child
- Establish the routine of the child
- Plan and prepare meals and bottles for, and feed, the child
- Prepare child for naps and bedtime
- Bathe the child and dress up.
- Change diapers, potty training when necessary.
- Administer medicine to child when necessary.
- With Parent’s advise, plan and lead educational activities, including reading, with the child
- Perform housework related to child-minding, including washing the children’s clothes, cleaning up after meals, tidying play areas, and washing bottle
- Light household chores if required – eg. Ironing, mop the floor, etc.
The above is a general guide. Every assignment & routine of child differs accordingly. Any special care, parents are to advise the nanny what they should do or what to take note of, such as the sleeping routine, any allergy or any signs of child not feeling well.
Does the nanny's fee include of baby's meal preparation?
Preparation of food and cooking are subjective to dietary and cultural preferences. The food ingredients are usually prepared by the parents. Parents can suggest the choice of food for their child, and the nanny will do the meal plans accordingly. Our nanny can assist in baby’s led weaning. The nanny does not cook for family meals.
What will happened if my assigned nanny is unwell or unable to come to work?
We seek your kind understanding that our nannies may be unwell and take urgent leaves. If such a situation arises, they will first inform you and NannyPro.
If it is a valid medical leave, they will be certified with an unfit to work and a paid medical leave will be accorded to them. Parents are unable to deduct their fee. This applies for full & part-time engagement.
If the leave of absence is longer than 1 days and no replacement cover to assign, then the leaves will be replacement. Our team will inform you of the replacement dates.
Are nannies or child covered under insurance for incidents?
Our nannies are insured under workmen’s compensation, mandatory for accidents occurring at parents’ residences.
For incidents involving children under our care, evaluation is done on case by case to ensure parents’ peace of mind. We will also check in with Parents to record report incidents for assessment, particularly if it’s due to neglect by our nannies.
At the company level, we also maintain professional indemnity coverage.
Do you provide Overseas Nanny Arrangement? And what are the likely costs involve? Any guarantee if nanny is suitable?
Yes, we have successful assist parents to search and place qualified confinement nanny or nanny for a short-term assignment. The countries that we have placed are: United States, United Kingdom, London, Australia, Germany etc. The duration varies base on the parent’s request. It ranges from 1 to 6 months period.
The likely costs that parents should be aware of are:
(1) Round-trip air ticket
(2) A comprehensive travel insurance
(3) Visa Fee
(4) Nanny’s well-being like food and lodging.
(5) Monthly Nanny’s Salary
(6) NannyPro’s Service Engagement Fee.
Choosing a nanny for overseas placement involve its own risk. NannyPro will ensure qualified nanny. Parents are able to conduct phone or web-cam interview with the nanny before confirming the services.
Upon arriving at the designated country, and if parents feel that the nanny services provided are unsatisfactory, a free replacement can be seek within the 1st month. NannyPro will not charge for engagement fee. However other related (1) to (3) costs, parents need to bear again.
If the nanny is homesick or requested to terminate the contract prematurely, she will be responsible for reimbursement parents for the cost of air ticket and the visa fee incurred.
