ECDA Childminding Pilot
NannyPro Care is excited to be one of the appointed operators by ECDA for the Childminding Pilot for Infants to provide safe and reliable care at the Childminder’s Home or Community Space. The Pilot aims to provide an alternative caregiving option at subsidised affordable fees for parents with Singapore Citizen infants aged 2 to 18 months. The Pilot will run for three years from 1 December 2024 to 31 December 2027
What can Parents expect from NannyPro under this Pilot?
While preparing to launch in January 2025, NannyPro is receiving care requests details by parents for indication of interest.
Parents have the option to enrol their infants for a care arrangement of Full-Time (10 hours) or Part-Time (5 hours). The Care Hours are from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday, excluding weekends and public holidays.
You have the flexibility to decide the days of care. NannyPro will assign a suitable available childminder based on distance proximity. A Childminder’s profile will be provided for consideration. You can arrange for a home visit and after which decide to enrol with us.
How do Parents Qualify for a Subsidised Fee?
Eligibility Criteria for Infants:
1. The infant must be a Singapore Citizen (SC) and between 2 and 18 months of age (inclusive).
2. The infant must not be concurrently enrolled in any ECDA or other ECDA-funded preschool program during the same month.
How are Childminders assessed for suitability?
NannyPro will ensure that all Childminders (CMs) have fulfilled all mandatory requirements, such as household background clearance, medical and training assessments. ECDA will conduct background checks on CMs and such background checks will also be extended to those who will have regular access to the homes (e.g., family members).
1. The CM will adhere to industry guidelines and standards to prioritize the safety of infants and fulfil their caregiving responsibilities.
2. NPC will ensure that the childminding environment is designed to minimize potential safety hazards and risks to infants.
3. The CM is an employee of NPC, covered under workmen’s compensation insurance, CPF contributions, and other welfare benefits.
What will be the expected provision of care by childminders in NannyPro?
1. The CM shall provide basic care in a safe and conducive environment. Infants entrusted to the CM will receive care in establishing routines for sleeping, feeding, bathing, and engaging in meaningful play. All activities will be mutually discussed and agreed upon by the parents and the CM.
2. The CM may care for a maximum of three infants at any given time. We encourage to enrol one infant at a time and limit to two.
3. The CM’s home and community premises shall be equipped with child-friendly facilities to ensure safe practices, including essential amenities such as a sleeping cot, playmat, and sterilizer.
4. Parents are required to provide necessary items for infant’s care, such as diapers, milk formula, clothing, medication, and creams for skin application.
5. Meal arrangements shall be communicated directly with the CM. Meal plans, dietary restrictions, and food allergies will be mutually agreed upon.
